Malahide Castle
Malahide Castle, set on 250 acres of park land in the pretty seaside town of Malahide, was both a fortress and a private home for nearly eight hundred years. The Talbot family lived here from 1185 to 1973, when the last Lord Talbot died.

Kilkenny Castle
Formerly the seat of the Butler Family. Part of the National Art Gallery is on display in the castle. There are ornamental gardens on the city side of the castle, and extensive land and gardens to the front.

St. Patricks Cathedral
St Patricks Cathedral is the largest church in Ireland. A wooden church was built on the present site in the V th century when Ireland's patron saint, St Patrick, baptised his first Christian converts at a well on the site. The present church dates from the XII th century.

Trinity College / Book of Kells
Founded by Queen Elizabeth I to "civilize" Dublin, Trinity College is Ireland's oldest and most famous college. Stopping by the atmospheric campus is a must, so you can walk in the footsteps of some of the college's noted alumni — among them Jonathan Swift, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, and Samuel Beckett — and see the famous Book of Kells.
