Cashel council rejects claim that it is hindering tourism at the Rock
A new parking gate that will issue receipts to coach touring companies at the Rock of Cashel will be installed before the end of the year, amid a claim that a lot of money is lost from Cashel because of the difficulties that coach touring companies encounter in their dealings with the local Council.
Cashel’s Town Clerk Marie McGivern said that a Cork company, ETL Car Parking Developments would install the parking gate once the Council had completed “civil works” on the car park.

At a recent Cpc couse i attended, we sat for the 1st 2 to 3 hours talking about Trucks and their power or Torque, now why should i be subjected to such nonsense, it was only in the latter stages of the course that we got to buses and coaches. Incredibly boring and a complete waste of time, however the law is the law and we coach operators and drivers will have to do a course every year for the rest of our lives, dont get fooled by the 5 year thing!!!
